actually provided me with the inspiration for the names of the grunt soldiers in this series.

as an "octopussy", which was also the title of Roger Moore's sixth Bond movie

- The Odd Couple - several elements from this episode are in reference to the classic sitcom starring Tony Randall
and Jack Klugman (I'm more familiar with the sticom than Neil Simon's original play or the movie starring Jack
Lemon and Walter Matthau). Both "abnormal" and "duo" are synonyms for "odd" and "couple", respectively. Jorge
picking up the sausage with the end of his umbrella is meant to be in reference to the scene in the opening credits
that shows Felix picking up Oscar's cigar butt with his umbrella, which Jorge also makes reference to later on.

each one of the Primal Strike characters takes on the persona of a Seinfeld character; Jorge-Jerry, Toni-Elaine
(done by default), Kevin-George, Jamie-Kramer (Jamie was also referred to as Reyes to further mathc his
"Kramer-ness"). And the mentioning of the J Peterman catalogue is also a Seinfeld reference due to the fact that
Elaine worked there for the last three seasons of the show
- L.L. Bean - Jorge mentioning L.L. Bean is a quick reference to the catalogue
Episode 23: Calling Your Bluff
- no allusions
Episode 24: If We Met in a Dream...
- Kamen Rider Den-O - aside from the obvious allusions to the series, given what will be the source material for
the Kamen Rider Chronos fic, the song that the four men in the colored shirts were performing at the Japanese
restaurant was Den-O's theme song "Climax Jump", and done in the same way as the DEN-LINER form version
of it, also the second song that was performed in the Japanese restaurant was the theme to the Den-O movie
"Yume de Aeta nara...", which translates to "if we met in a dream" in English
- Scrubs - the concept of a "onesie" is a reference to the Scrubs episode "My Heavy Meddle"

saying that "even Rocky had a montage" are quotes from the song "Montage" sung by Trey Parker, which was

- Mandarin - this is more of a note than an allusion, but "Sahnkuhshuu" is Mandarin Chinese (the dialect spoken in
mainland China) for "three trees", and the actual Romanization is "sankeshu". I went with "sahnkuhshuu", because
it's a more phonetic spelling. Also the sign that points in the direction of the village contains the traditional Chinese
rendering of the characters for "sahnkuhshuu"
Episode 27: To the Edge part 2
- no allusions
